Advisory visits

Let us help your business reach its full potential

Why book an advisory visit?

If you are the new owner of a business or you’re planning a major refurbishment, you can book an advisory visit with one of our qualified assessors to discuss your plans. We’ll even carry out advisory visits for those just wanting to talk about improving the overall quality of their business.

Bespoke visit

We’ll tailor your advisory visit (and the fee) to the size and type of your business and work with you on areas important to you and your customers.

Written report

You’ll receive a written report from a qualified assessor containing expert advice and suggestions for improving your business.

Aim higher

Our assessors will advise you on how you could improve your assessment score, giving you the chance to put changes in place before your quality assessment.

Save money

We’ll let you know what updates and improvements would be most effective so you needn’t carry out unnecessary costly refurbishments.

How it works
Step-by-step: the advisory process

Step 1:
Apply

Once you’ve sent us your application and payment, wait to be contacted by an assessor to arrange a convenient time for your visit.

Step 2:
Initial discussions

On the day, we’ll discuss with you the appropriate scheme for your establishment and how we assess. We’ll also talk about any plans you have to refurbish or expand your business.

Step 3:
Assessment

We’ll review the facilities and services that you offer and check them against the minimum requirements and quality levels to determine which star rating is achievable for you.

Step 4:
Debrief

We’ll discuss our findings with you and highlight any areas to work on or changes to make in order to achieve your desired rating.

Step 5:
Written report

Within three weeks of your visit you’ll receive a written report confirming these findings and the advice given.
